Today I will open the door of my calmness
and let the footsteps of Silence gently enter the temple of all
my activities. I will perform all duties serenely, saturated with
peace. — Paramahansa Yogananda
We have thought that outside things controlled
us, when all the time we have had that within which could have changed
everything and given us freedom from bondage. — The Science

Speed Bumps
Life is like speed bumps. Speed bumps can show up anywhere, sometimes
without warning. Sometimes we are warned by a sign and other times these
bumps just seen to appear out of nowhere. You know; the kind of speed
bumps where you’re going along and everything is going great and
then… WHACK! Your chin hits the steering wheel; you bite your
tongue. Not only do you find yourself in pain, but you’re left
wondering why life has speed bumps.
I recently began to ponder just this question. I questioned why people
react so differently to the bumps of life. What was the difference?
Suddenly the answer. . . shock absorbers!
Shock absorbers are our spiritual muscles: treatment,
meditation, and affirmations. These all contribute to our ability and
strength when the speed bumps of life show up. We get to choose how
smooth our ride will be.
Life isn’t out to get us. Things just happen;
life is always changing. It is the inner life that absorbs the shocks.
Science of Mind principles are our shock absorbers. So when these bumps
hit-- and they will-- remember to turn within to the Divine Intelligence
and the Presence to know a greater Truth.
Today I open to the peace that lives deep within, I build my consciousness
on a Spiritual principles I am strengthening my spiritual shock absorbers,
I will ride today in Gods love.
